Modern Heritage was created by tattooers who have lived and breathed this craft for more than 20 years in our New Jersey studio. Our aftercare balm didn’t come from a lab or a marketing team. It came from real artists who have spent decades watching tattoos heal, fade, and transform, and who understand exactly what tattooed skin needs at every stage.

Why We Made This
We wanted a tattoo aftercare product that was natural and clean, without petroleum or harsh synthetic ingredients. It needed to be made for everyone, men and women, and anyone who cares about their skin and their tattoos. We focused on real butters, oils, and botanicals that actually support healing and keep skin healthy long term. We also wanted scents that felt unique and elevated, yet subtle enough to never overwhelm the senses or irritate fresh tattoos.
There were plenty of options on the market, but none that blended the right mix of healing power, modern skincare quality, and refined fragrance. So we created our own.

Our formula blends the traditional wisdom of tattoo healing with modern skin science. We chose every ingredient intentionally. Shea butter for deep moisture. Cocoa butter for firmness and smooth texture. Jojoba oil for fast absorption and natural balance. Calendula oil for calming and healing. Beeswax for breathable protection. Vitamin E for nourishment and restoration. These ingredients work together the way tattooed skin actually needs.
